On Friday in cooking class we made pita pockets. We did a doc post about hygiene and safety and write about things that we needed to know before we sytart cooking. It was delicious because we had perfect ingrediants such as, Tomato, lettuce, Ham, and many more.
Pita Pockets
Ingredients:
1 pita casing per person
Lettuce
Cheese
Tomato
Grated carrot
¼ onions
1t oil
Sauces – tomato, bbq, mayo, hummus, chilli
1 slice of ham
Method:
Sauté the onions together in a pan with oil, high-med heat
Chop and grate the vegetables you require
Place pita pockets in microwave for 20 seconds
Cut open the pita pocket along the crease
Stuff pita pockets with required fillings
Hi Alazae. I like the start to this blog where you acknowledge the need for hygiene and safety before starting practicals. I would like to see a comment about which part of the recipe you missed out eg. sauteing the onions. I am glad you enjoyed your Pita Pocket. What sauces did you use? Are there any other ingredients you could have used?
